Oh, Hello!
My name is Sam and I'm an illustrator, 1st grade teaching assistant, and mother of three wonderful kids and several "well-nourished" cats. My work includes children's book illustrations, theatre posters, and whimsical landscapes.
My most recent book, I Will Wait for You by Alicia Burke, is now available for purchase. It is a heartwarming, full circle story for readers of all ages that takes the reader through the parent-child relationship and beautifully depicts all of the waiting we do in life, especially with and for our loved ones.
Since graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003, I have illustrated twelve books and completed numerous fine art commissions. I've also authored two collections of silly stories for children, Star-Bright Afterschool and Back to Star-Bright.
When I'm not standing confidently in a meadow at dusk wearing my Sunday best, I can be found re-watching episodes of Seinfeld, enjoying stand-up comedy, and avoiding opportunities to go camping.
