Oh, Hello!
My name is Sam and I'm an illustrator, 1st grade teaching assistant, and mother of three wonderful kids and three "well-nourished" cats. My work includes children's book illustrations, theatre posters, and whimsical landscapes.
Since graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003, I have illustrated ten books and completed numerous fine art commissions. I've also authored two collections of silly stories for children, "Star-Bright Afterschool" and "Back to Star-Bright."
Recently I had the joy of collaborating with authors Tamara Keith & Davis Gordon to illustrate their picture book, "Claire and the Eager Speaker" which is available to order.
When I'm not standing confidently in a meadow at dusk wearing my Sunday best, I can be found re-watching episodes of Seinfeld, enjoying stand-up comedy, and avoiding opportunities to go camping.
